A 2016 Olympian and the Canadian record holder in steeplechase, Geneviève Lalonde returned to cross-country running in November, in winning style.
Lalonde’s victory in the Athletics Canada cross-country championships on Nov. 24 made headlines across the country, including CBC.ca in her home province of New Brunswick and Canadian Running Magazine.
The runner had been away from cross-country running for some time, in part due to injury. But as autumn rolled around and her training kicked in, she felt healthy enough to compete.
